Timeless Black and White Photography At The QVB

The Queen Victoria Building in the heart of the Sydney CBD is the perfect location for capturing those timeless moments in black and white. It has the perfect setting, splendid architecture and rich history.

One of the key elements to black and white photography is looking for light and shadow in the composition.

Here is the perfect example-highlights from the roof which incorporates arched skylights running length ways north and south from the central dome, in contrast with the lower levels. The people are in shadow on the ground level, in contrast to the highlighted decorative cast-iron railings along the left  side and tiled floor below.
