David Bowie Portrait

We have lost a musical creative genius who I have admired since 11 years old when I bought Life On Mars and The Man Who Sold The World which was on the other side of this 45 vinyl, the first record I bought. In 2004 I photographed the Reality tour press conference when David Bowie played in Sydney. Below is one of my portraits I took on that day. It was a great privilege to have this portrait published in the Daily Telegraph in London as part of a feature showing the many faces of David Bowie throughout his years of fame. I asked David when he last visited a pub in Beckenham Kent, called the Three Tuns. A place where I grew up and so did he. Bowie played above this pub and he called it The Arts Lab, around the time of Ziggy Stardust.
He was totally surprised by my question and all the memories came back to him, very polite and I could see a great smile on his face as he replied ” I have not been back there for about 35 years”. RIP David.
