This event held every 2 years on Cockatoo Island is Australia’s largest contemporary visual arts event.
The event showcases art from around the world. Whilst there recently on another assignment, I had some spare time to explore. Several images that I captured were taken in the former shipyard, known as the Heavy Machine Shop. The building contains remnant machinery from its industrial past.
Artist Peter Robinson’s vast polystyrene installations created a great photographic opportunity with the contrast of the ruins of the disused spaces in the former shipyard.
