They commemorate the songs of fifty birds once heard in central Sydney, before they were forced out by European settlement.<\/p>\n<p>I am featuring two of my favourite <a href=\"https:\/\/paullovelace.photoshelter.com\/gallery\/Sydney-Stock-Photography\/G0000laie.PyYlKc\/\">photographs <\/a>and what appealed to me about taking them.<\/p>\n<p>The couple in almost a silhouette walking down the laneway holding hands firstly added a romantic feel to the scene. I also felt that the setting with the art- deco buildings and the narrow laneway could have been anywhere in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Then there just happened to be two window cleaners suspended above the birdcages in the background cleaning some offices. I liked the contrast of every day life going on surrounded by the hanging cages which appeared much bigger than they actually were and it gave a different perspective to the scene.
