It was to photograph sculptor and bronze caster Laurence Edwards exhibition &#8221; Part of the Landscape:Evolution and Exploration.&#8221; The event was sponsored by London gin makers Sipsmith.<\/p>\n<p>Laurence&#8217;s work is certainly unique throughout the sculpting process including bronze finishing-called chasing.<\/p>\n<p>As well as covering the event itself, Johnny Messum-managing director of <a href=\"https:\/\/messumswiltshire.com\">Messums Wiltshire<\/a>, wanted me to photograph the sculptures in a more unique way from what was already published in the catalogue. It was my job to capture the sculptures in context with the surroundings 0f the gallery from different angles and perspectives and not showing the obvious. The natural light was good in the gallery so I decided to use my canon 80-200mm f|2.8 L lens. Mostly working at 200mm I was able to eliminate distortion and throw the background and foreground \u00a0in and out of focus, giving more impact to the overall sculpture pieces and their surroundings.<\/p>\n<p>My <a href=\"https:\/\/paullovelace.photoshelter.com\/gallery\/20180414-Mary-Place-Gallery\/G0000q60oLoaW3Ew\/\">photos<\/a> are being used to promote the artist and the exhibition on social media and for general marketing and media use.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_812\" class=\"thumbnail wp-caption alignnone\" style=\"width: 5411px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/paullovelace.photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Sculpture-Sydney-20180414-1-147.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-812 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/paullovelace.photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Sculpture-Sydney-20180414-1-147.jpg\" alt=\"Laurence Edwards sculpture exhibition, Mary Place Gallery, Sydney\" width=\"5401\" height=\"3601\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"caption wp-caption-text\">Laurence Edwards launches his sculpture exhibition at Mary Place Gallery, Sydney.
