It is ironic that I would want to keep the shadow detail and use Aurora HDR, but if you don’t experiment with these things you never really know.<\/p>\n

Originally I processed this photo of \u00a0Rushcutters Bay<\/a> on Sydney Harbour\u00a0in Lightroom. I was happy with the results as I certainly had complete control \u00a0over the shadow detail. I then decided to try out and go through the presets in Aurora HDR<\/a>\u00a0. All of these did not give me the results I was looking for accept for “Trey Ratcliff’s”<\/a>\u00a0Chocolate and Wine Preset. Love the name, certainly both at the top of my list. So happy with the results with plenty of rich contrast and great shadow detail which I was not getting with all the other presets in Aurora HDR. Also the foreground area was much richer in texture detail than if I had simply processed this photo in Lightroom.<\/p>\n
