{"id":589,"date":"2016-04-08T12:47:17","date_gmt":"2016-04-08T12:47:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/paullovelace.photography\/?p=589"},"modified":"2016-06-28T10:19:44","modified_gmt":"2016-06-28T10:19:44","slug":"environmental-portrait-for-top-sydney-law-firm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/paullovelace.photography\/blog\/environmental-portrait-for-top-sydney-law-firm\/","title":{"rendered":"Environmental Portrait for Top Sydney Law Firm"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"\">It was one of those shoots when you knew that the partners of one of Sydney\u2019s top law firms had limited time and as always \u00a0it&#8217;s the job of any photographer to produce \u00a0the desired results from the brief which was to capture an environmental portrait.<\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"\">This involved showing some of the interior of this law firm while also capturing a relaxed portrait of the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.paullovelace.photography\/#!\/index\/G0000_.X2P8rFMoQ\/I0000gzc0hGTAPYY\"> two partners<\/a> with approximately 5 minutes time allocated.<\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"\">The interior fit out was by BVN, an award-winning architectural firm with a global reputation for design. I arrived 20 mins before the shoot to work out exactly where I wanted to position my subjects and the reception area was by far the best location. I came across this amazing green wall area which has become a huge trend in the interior design world, also offering plenty of health benefits. I felt that it was a great backdrop to use, but I knew that it was important to get the interior fit out area of the reception in as well.<\/div>\n<div class=\"\">Therefore I got the partners to stand quite a distance away from the garden wall and I used a 105mm lens which would blur the background.<\/div>\n<div class=\"\">\n<div class=\"\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"\">Plenty of natural light through backlit glass panels enabled me to show a well lit interior combined with my Gary Gong diffuser to fill in the<\/div>\n<div class=\"\">shadows on the portraits. The down lights on the garden wall warmed everything up.
