I had the great pleasure of photographing abstract artist Syd Ball’s house<\/a>, now regarded as a classic Murcutt house attracting many visitors. Glenn Murcutt is one of Australia’s most famous architects. \u00a0This house floats out over a sandstone outcrop, itself approached by a floating, slightly meandering timber footbridge. The whole concept of living in the bush largely in isolation has been crucial to the abstract artists work over the last thirty years. The whole experience of living in this house gives constant exposure to the landscape which feeds Syd’s imagination. This was an editorial feature I did with Paul Mc Gillick<\/a>, Editorial Director at the time of Habitus.<\/a><\/p>\n
