I am delighted to have just launched a gallery entitled: \u2018Sydney in Black-and-White<\/a>\u2019 – with\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

many of the photos that were taken during the Sydney Lockdown.<\/p>\n

The idea came about when a client recently purchased eight canvas gallery wrap prints from me to hang in a new space at their specialist dental surgery practice.<\/p>\n

The client asked if it was possible to convert four of the previous colour images into black and white, which I happily did in the Lightroom program.<\/p>\n

This prompted me to create the new gallery \u2018Sydney in Black-and-White\u2019 – offering fine art prints for wall displays in both offices and homes.<\/p>\n

One of the selected black-and-white prints I am featuring today shows views of former warehouses at\u00a0 Campbells Cove in The Rocks.<\/a><\/p>\n

These days they are restaurants and caf\u00e9s and normally extremely popular with tourists.<\/p>\n

Behind them is the iconic Metcalfe Bond Building – a heritage-listed former bond store and warehouse that is now shops and offices.<\/p>\n

To capture this location in the lockdown with no people at all in the photograph is completely unique, as it is normally such a thriving location with tourists everywhere.<\/p>\n

Luckily the light was perfect: allowing the highlights to fall on both the foreground and the buildings in the background.<\/p>\n

My client was delighted with the quality of the canvas gallery wrap prints.<\/p>\n

The low sheen, 340 gsm canvas compliments the black-and-white images perfectly, as it has a bright white finish for dense colour reproduction, and a low bleed for sharp, crisp edges.<\/p>\n

Most importantly, the canvas does not\u00a0<\/span>crack when stretched, and it\u00a0<\/span>is 100 percent cotton and PVC-free.<\/p>\n

The images are also printed with UV-stable, scratch, and fade-resistant archival ink for indoor applications.<\/p>\n

The canvas is hand-wrapped and installed into the natural timber by a local Sydney craft framer.<\/p>\n

The floating frames are made in Italy using the finest quality Ayous timber chosen for its lightweight and with\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

a natural European oak veneer.<\/p>\n

All frames are supplied ready-to-hang and available through my website <\/a>to mix and match with available prints.<\/p>\n
