Prince Philip seated next to Queen Elizabeth 11<\/a> at the Sydney Opera House, 13th March 2006.<\/p>\n

The Queen was \u00a0there to open the newest edition and first major alteration to the Opera\u00a0House since it was built.<\/p>\n

The alteration included a Colonnade that runs along the western side of the Sydney Opera House’s massive platform.<\/p>\n

So pleased to have covered this historic visit and to capture a candid moment.<\/p>\n

Quite a few years before I had photographed the Duke of Edinburgh\u00a0whist freelancing for a local\u00a0newspaper<\/span>.<\/p>\n

The event was the opening of an aged care facility in south London.<\/p>\n

The black and white negatives are filed away and hopefully easy to find.<\/p>\n

I do remember how friendly and engaging Prince Philip was to everyone.<\/p>\n

Above all he had a great sense of humour<\/span> and put everyone at ease.<\/p>\n

RIP Prince Philip.<\/p>\n
