I photographed an art installation of 50 hanging cages, titled “Forgotten Songs” in Sydney. These hanging cages are suspended in mid-air surrounded by art-deco buildings in a narrow laneway in the heart of Sydney’s CBD. They commemorate the songs of fifty birds once heard in central Sydney, before they were forced out by European settlement. […]
