In 2013, the Sydney Bushfires resulted in a widespread smoke haze that enveloped the city, leading to poor air quality and reduced visibility. However, this atmospheric phenomenon worked to my advantage, creating stunning orange-hued clouds. The smoke and particles in the air from the bushfires created a haze that blanketed the sky, imparting a unique orange or reddish tint to the clouds, particularly during sunrise or sunset when sunlight travels a longer path through the atmosphere.
As I noticed an orange glow emerging from the Sydney CBD area, I sensed that something remarkable was about to unfold. I quickly grabbed my cameras and drove to Christison Park, eager to capture the scenic cliff walk to Watsons Bay, framed by the vibrant orange clouds over the ocean horizon. The moment I captured this image, I realized I was witnessing a rare and breathtaking scene.

This exceptionally high-quality 100% cotton canvas is printed at the highest resolution and hand-wrapped to a natural kiln-dried timber stretcher by a craft framer.
