During Sydney’s lockdown, I spent much of my time capturing the city’s empty streets. One of the most striking locations was Martin Place, known for its iconic landmarks and stunning architecture. Normally a hub of activity in the heart of the Central Business District, the pandemic transformed it into a quiet, almost subdued space. My goal was to photograph the usually bustling Colonnades beneath The Fullerton Hotel, now eerily still. With no office workers, shoppers, or tourists in sight, I waited 30 minutes for the perfect moment to capture the empty scene—a rare glimpse of solitude in such a vibrant area.
The stillness was surreal, interrupted only by the faint rustle of the wind. I was drawn to the play of light and shadow: the deep shadows of The Colonnades sharply contrasted against the sunlight reflecting on the polished stone floor. The choice of black and white photography enhances the timeless elegance and sophistication of this moment in history.

2) Cotton Rag Matt Paper for the very best fine art printing. This is an archival paper that will give lasting image stability for many years and produce crisp detail. If you require a border around your fine art print please request this once you have selected your preferred size. You can request an extra 10,25, or 50mm all around your image.
3) Framed Canvas which comes with a high-quality smooth canvas fabric stretched print, within a lightweight durable aluminum frame in both a white and black finish. The Canvas Frame’s unique interchangeable art canvas system allows for quick and easy updates of your artwork. Ideal for corporate commissions, hotel lobbies, retail spaces, hospitality, or indoor public spaces.
4) Print and Frame Classic: a new, contemporary way to present your wall art, printed with a smooth satin finish. No glass, no reflections. (Available in natural timber frame or white and black aluminium.)
Please note that the Smooth Pearl Paper and the Cotton Rag Matt Paper do not come with a Ready-To-Hang Frame.

Damaged Prints:
If your order arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 5 days with your tracking number, a brief description, and clear photos. Once confirmed, we’ll send a replacement at no cost.
