Recently I was asked by one of my corporate clients to crop all the photos I shoot for them into a specific size so the client can use them for email and social media purposes. This sounds very straightforward but try working out how to do it in Lightroom 5 and you will not find many ways of doing this even on Adobe TV’S Lightroom page. So a thorough Google search on how to do this in Lightroom brought up this great tutorial and no other I could find like it. Here is my summary of these steps on cropping accurately and selecting the correct aspect ratio to correspond with specific pixel dimensions in Lightroom. Select the crop tool and unlock the padlock icon. Then crop the image to exactly what you want to show. Close the padlock icon and select enter custom aspect ratio [the drop down menu next to the padlock icon] and enter the pixel dimensions required. In my case the size requested was 120 x 100 pixels. Then go to file export and select resize to fit and select long edge and export. On another subject I did some shots from the Rocks side of Sydney showing the progress being made of the Barangaroo development for a client.
